The oldest operating fashion house with only 15 boutiques worldwide is collaborating with one of the largest and fastest growing high fashion-low cost clothing producers. Lanvin meets H&M.
Alber Elbaz, artistic director at Lanvin, is the newest designer of a high caliber fashion line to partner with H&M. Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Roberto Cavalli, Matthew Williamson, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel, and Shiatzy Chen have done so in the past. These ventures produced clothing or accessories that all proved to be in high demand when released at H&M’s worldwide. It will be interesting to see if this Lanvin collabo will out perform those with Lagerfeld and Cavalli, whose initial shipments of merchandise sold out within hours of debuting.
